REAL Supplier Spotlight – Vallum Weddings
We’ve taken a little look behind the scenes with one of our recommended suppliers from the REAL Directory. Vicky Moffitt from Vallum Farm in Northumberland has filled us in on the wedding trends she’s noticed recently and how you can save money on your wedding….
Why did you start your business?
I started Vallum Weddings because people loved Vallum and the food we cooked so much that they kept asking. We did a few weddings in hired marquees then decided to do buy our own and set up properly. It has been great fun so far.
What do you love most about working in the wedding industry?
I like the people I work with. It is fun coming to work as we all share a common goal .. to do a great job and receive praise from our clients.
What question do you get asked most by couples?
Do you have accommodation. We don’t, but we work with some fantastic local houses and provide in house catering for couples which they love.
What wedding trends have you noticed recently?
Flower walls and donut walls!
Do you have any tips for couples looking to save money on their wedding?
If you choose the right venue you can save a lot by not having to buy in things like chair covers or much in the way of event dressing. Ask the venue what they have that you can borrow .. we always have bits and bobs other couples have left for others to enjoy.
What should couples bear in mind when contacting you about their wedding?
Our brochure is only a starting point for conversation. We are very flexible and will tailor your day and menu to you and your vision!
Vallum Weddings & Events is located on Military Road, East Wallhouses, Newcastle, NE18 0LL.
